Thai airports closed, government pay $55 a day to foreign travelers

Foreign governments are resorting to their own actions to lift their stranded citizens from Thailand. The Spain and Chinese governments have chartered planes to get their citizens home. Other foreign governments such as those of Australia and America are demanding free accommodation and food or suitable compensation for their citizens. The Thai government is giving out US$55 daily to foreign nationals staying at members of the Thai Hotel Association.
