Virgin Airlines comes to Boston

Virgin America expants and begins service from Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS) on February 12, 2009. The airline confirmed Boston being the eighth city in its network.

Virgin America Airlines has been reinventing the domestic airtravel and received an impressive number of awards in only two year of operation. Since its launch in August of 2007, Virgin America was awarded the "Best Domestic Airline" in Conde Nast Traveler's 2008 Readers' Choice Awards and a place in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards. For 2009.

Virgin America plans to revolutionize domestic air travel by using its brand new Airbus A320-family fleet which is one of the most fuel efficient aircrafts in the United States. In addition to the new Airbus fleet, Virgin will be offering innovative amenities for the today's tech-savvy business and leisure travelers. Power outlets and the cutting edge touch-screen entertainment at every seat (Already launched on one aircraft).

By the second quarter of 2009 the Virgin America will be the first United States Airline to offer inflight internet service fleetwide.
